Days 6, 7 and December 8 will be held in the Gothic Palace of the Royal overtake the traditional annual display of sweets and handicrafts of cloistered convents of the archdiocese of Seville. This year marks the 24 th edition of this exhibition whose main objective is to introduce this treasure jealously kept for centuries the communities of contemplative life of the Archdiocese. The exhibition will open from 10:30 to 19:00, without interruption, and entry is by the Court of Flags.
this year include 17 monasteries, seven and ten of the remaining capital of the province. Seville city, is expected to attend the Sweet S. Leandro (Augustine), Santa Paula (Jerome), Santa Ines (Clare), S. Clemente (Cistercian), Our Lady of Socorro (concepcionistas Franciscan), Mother of God (Dominican) and Santa Ana (Carmelite roads). The rest of the province will be present Jeronimite Constantine, Jeronimo de Morón, Santa Florentina (Dominican) and Allied Ecija Discalced Carmelites (Moroccan), Clare de Marchena, Morón and Carmona, Mercedarias San Andrés de Marchena, Mercedarias of the Incarnation Osuna and Agustinas Our Lady of Peace.
New this year
The Convent of Santa Paula in addition to their regular repertoire nougat stone (despite its name, is soft), blueberry jam, apple jam melon and kumquats in syrup. The convent of Sta Maria Relief includes his dates stuffed with almond paste with cream and chocolate-covered donuts and chocolate-covered marzipan and foudant. The convent of Santa Florentina Ecija, presented as new this year, almond biscuits, coconut biscuits and donuts braided. The convent of S. Andrés de Marchena presents this year's wishes, coconut almond and sultanas. The Convent of the Immaculate Conception of Marchena has several new features: buds of coconut macaroons oil soplillos (toasted almonds, sugar and egg whites) and Santa Clara yolks and almond. The convents of St. Anne and Our Lady of Socorro will continue to present the varieties were so successful in previous editions: crowns almond, aniseed of Santa Ana (with hazelnuts or glitter), macaroons Santa Ana and glazed donuts, almond, coconut candies, almond tostadillo, donuts, almond, almond and flower buds of hazelnut. These sweet, like all who are present in the sample are in boxes labeled with the ingredients.
All sweets presented in this exhibition convent, and many others that it is impossible to include in it, are made and sold throughout the year at the turnstiles of the convents, which also can be ordered for parties.
